Weddings & Bar/Bat Mitzvahs
A wedding and coming of age ceremony is a very meaningful, unique combination of tradition, ritual and personal style. I will gladly fit a package to your needs and wants. I provide candid, photojournalistic photography that will capture the natural moments, emotions and joy of the day, providing you with a lifetime of visual memories of your celebration, and the family and friends who made it complete. Packages for weddings and bar/bat mitzvah coverage range from $1,500 (photography of your special day burned to a DVD) – $3,750 (two photographers, a custom designed coffee table book, a proof book, an engagement (or pre bar/bat mitzvah portrait) shoot, a slideshow set to music for social networking sites, and an online gallery for six months for friends and family.
Marketing and Public Relations
Shana Sureck Photography will provide documentary-style photographs that highlight the work of your organization, educational institution, or business. With 20 years as a newspaper photojournalist, I work easily and quickly to make storytelling photographs which celebrate all that is positive and meaningful about your work. My rates start at $250 for a 1-2 hour shoot, $450 for a half day, and $800 for a full day. Post production (archiving, toning, burning a DVD) is billed at $50-$75 an hour. If your needs involve fast turnaround for the media or internal use, I will gladly transmit images immediately after a shoot via ftp or PhotoShelter.
Corporate
Executives have busy schedules, so I come to you with backdrops and location lighting to do professional head shots, executive portraits, and group shots. In addition, my years of journalistic coverage of the business community will add depth and vibrancy to your ideas for workplace photographs and event coverage. Dynamic images for print, web, and annual reports tell the story of your work, excellence and leadership in the field.
Editorial
An award-winning photojournalist for 20 years, I am available for freelance news and feature assignments in CT and Western MA. I currently shoot assignments for a variety of local and national newspapers and magazines. Whether it’s breaking news or an environmental portrait you need to go with a profile of a local person, I can shoot and transmit from the road, if necessary, to meet your deadline. Photojournalism is in my blood, as is the curiosity and love of life that is required to do it well. This photograph (left) was shot on spec for the New York Times on the day that same sex couples won the right to marry, and it ended up running on Page 1. It’s thrilling to witness history.
Children & Family
With the ever present point and shoot camera, we all have snapshots of ourselves, but do we have those photographs we want to blow up for the wall that really capture the warmth and love of our family? Every so often it’s a nice treat to really capture the ones nearest and dearest to us in a relaxed, natural way. Family portrait sessions are $300 and involve both formal and candid shots at your home, a park, or a location of your choosing. I will provide you with a DVD of custom toned images and an 11×14 high quality inkjet print of your favorite image.
